Martin Kastner Designer/Sculptor Originally trained as a blacksmith, Kastner began his career restoring historical metalworks at various castles in his native Czech Republic. He holds an MFA in Metal Sculpture and Jewelry from the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, Czech Republic. Kastner's work can be found in private and public collections in Europe and the United States. In 1998, he established Crucial Detail design studio, and in 2003 Kastner and Chef Achatz began a collaboration which has resulted in the development of over 25 unique service concepts to date.
